Network Firewall
Regulatory requirements are requiring businesses to place additional emphasis on security, keeping corporate assets and customer information secure. Our FASTNET Network Firewall solution resides within the PAETEC network, as opposed to on customer premises. The Network Firewall service provides maintenance-free protection for data services, as well as managed updates and change requests. The Network Firewall allows internal users to access Web pages and e-mail without allowing external users to access computers on the internal network (inside the firewall). Customers can customize security policies to limit types of inbound and outbound requests.

Ancillary Services
Web Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware combine multiple commercial virus scanning technologies to identify known legacy viruses, spyware, adware, and malware. The technology provides real-time scanning and analysis of traffic as well as e-mail alerts to administrators and users. Web URL Filtering uses a rule-building process to sort inappropriate content and file types, enabling enforcement of Web acceptable usage policies.
